Graeme Higgins: Instructor - Glasgow branch
Graeme
has been studying the martial arts since 1988 aged 13. Since then he has
trained in Judo, Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts.
Graeme started training with Dave Green in 1997, and was granted his Black Belt in the Filipino Martial Arts under Dave in May 2004.
Since then he has been teaching and training in Glasgow & has also started training privately with Guro Marc Denny during his trips to Europe. He is now qualified as a group leader in Dog Brothers Martial Arts. He has also fought at the recent Closed Door Gathering of the pack in Bern Switzerland and at the 1 st ever Open Door gathering of the pack to be held outside of LA. At this event he had the honour of being the 1 st person from Scotland to be given a Dog title, this means he is currently the only person in the UK to be both accepted into the tribe & be qualified to teach DBMA .
Graeme is planning to continue his training with Marc when he fights in the LA gathering of the pack in June next year.
Steve
Ormerod: Instructor - Haydock Branch
Steve has trained in Shotokan Karate, Muay Thai, JKD Concepts & Doce
Pares Eskrima. Steve holds a 1st Grade Black Belt in Doce Pares Eskrima under
both Grandmasters Danny Guba & Cacoy Canete.
Colin Stewart - Bristol Branch
Colin began training martial arts at the age of 13 and since then has trained in many styles/systems. These include Goshindo Tai Jitsu, Shotokan Karate, Judo, Shodokan Aikido, Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Wing Chun and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Colin has competed in Karate, Judo, Aikido and Kickboxing, winning various awards at regional, university and national level.
He is currently qualified to teach Goshindo Tai Jitsu, Self Protection (under the Scottish Self Protection Group), was accepted as an affiliate into Combative Alliance Stickfighters and was qualified as a Group Leader in DBMA by Benjamin Rittiner.
Colin has also recently fought in the recent European Gathering of the Pack and Plans on going to LA in 2007.
Louie Pastore: Instructor - Scottish Combat Academy, Greenock, Scotland.
Louie devoted almost 20 years to the study of Asian Martial Arts and in
2000 turned his attention to researching martial arts that were practiced
throughout
Scotland & Europe. In 2004 he was accepted as a pupil of John Wesencraft,
the only surviving teacher of the Highland Dirk Dance as taught to Tom Flett
in the 1950's. In addition to being Instructor at a member club Louie is
our official Western Martial Arts advisor.
